My anchor is set in the Word ~
my feet are firmly on the ground
and though the sea is still raging
I know I won't be tossed around.

The waves of disappointment,
may keep coming into my boat
but, I know my faith in Jesus
will forever keep me afloat.

Discouragement sprays at my face,
the rain falls like sheets of tears
but, I am not disheartened
for, I know Jesus will calm my fears.

I may lose my direction in the dark,
and cannot see what lies ahead
but, my light comes from Jesus
and I know I will be Spirit lead.

I know not where I'm going,
for the compass is in His hand
but I know it will be in His strength
that in this storm ~ I will stand!

"He maketh the storm a calm,
so that the waves thereof are still."
