Are you a connoisseur of delicacies, ready willing and able to experiment with new foods and recipes? I do not fall in that category. I tend to select country-cooking classics. "Cracker Barrel" and "Golden Corral" rank high on my list of favorite eating out destinations. I understand the hesitation of a baby as mother tries to coax it into opening wide for a spoon of a new food. "Taste it, you'll like it!"
I can acquire a taste for some unfamiliar foods. It all begins with that first taste test. Those who turn to Jesus find satisfaction. "O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him (Psalm 34:8 Amplified)." My taste buds savor the Savior. Time with the Great Teacher is an appetizer creating hunger for the entree of solid scriptural food. He is preparing delectable desserts. Grab a spoon, taste and see!
