Some people are oppressors,
they want to weigh you down
so they remind you of your failures
every time they come around.
Some people are discouragers,
they want to take away your joy
and beating up on your confidence
is their self-degrading ploy.
Some people are judgmental,
they criticize everything you do
they point out all your weaknesses
till you think God won't forgive you.
Some people are idolaters,
they want you to bow to their greed
they don't understand why your faith
is all that you want and need.
Some people are gossipers,
they will tell others any thing
they don't care what lies they spread
as long as misery to you, they bring.
These people are all around you,
at work, at play, at your church
so it's best to stay away from them
or they may cause your faith to lurch.
