Signs of the times

In the book of Matthew Jesus clearly spells out 'the signs of the times and the end of the age.' While sitting on the Mount of Olives His disciples asked him, 'Tell us when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?' Matthew 24:3

Deceit

This is what Jesus said, 'Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.' Matthew 24:4-5

Since the Common Era all the way up to this century many have claimed to be Jesus Christ. In the last three centuries alone over 30 would-be messiahs have risen and these are known and documented.

And there's a high probability that scores of contenders are claiming His name that are not evidenced and recorded.

The latest to date is Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez who in November of 2011 fired nine AK-47 rounds at the White House in an attempt to kill Barack Obama. He claimed to be Jesus sent to kill the anti-christ (Obama).

Wars and rumors of wars

'And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.' Matthew 24:6

'For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places...' Matthew 24:7

Famines, pestilences and earthquakes...
