Yo-Yo Faith

For some ~ faith is like a Yo-Yo,
it's always going up and down
some days they are happy
other days they wear a frown.

Sometimes they trust in God,
and give Him all their care
other times they skip around
and think He isn't fair.

One minute they are faithful,
the next one they wander off
at times they hold on by a string
and let their spirits go aloft.

Sometimes they are calm,
then they are tied in a knot
sometimes they are trusting
the next time they are not.

They keep God near in mouth,
but He's far away in their heart
and just like a Yo-Yo . . .
they become unwound from the start!

lips, but their heart is far from me."
