WOMEN WITH A VOICE VISION & VICTORY PRESENTS: Women And Our Roles In The Local Church

by maxine hopkiins
5/13/2012 / Womens Interest

Before I begin this article, I am lead to include this disclaimer, by the leading of the Holy Spirit. I am not writing these articles , nor teaching any messages to cause any division or confusion in any ministry or church, nor to destroy anyone's' lives; I am teaching good things from the word of God, that will cause you to be in obedience to the will of God , that His Word be not blasphemed.

If you are convicted or feel judged in anyway about anything that I write or say please note it is the Word of God that is doing that for I speak not of myself but as He gives me commandment so I write or speak.

I do want to add for your peace of mind, I am under a covering, and I also have my head covered to show the Lord that I honor his presence over me in my home and also that I am subject to His authority tonight.

I do encourage you to message me with any questions at the email address located at the bottom of this article or the end of this message. This is a woman's inner healing ministry and I actively walk in my call. I am sent to heal the wounds of women, divorced women, in particular, however God uses my voice to speak and provide healing and knowledge to married, as well as, single women for I have experience in all three areas.

Now that, the preliminaries are over. I want to give insight as to what the Lord revealed to me concerning our roles as women in the church today. I want to begin by explaining the foundation of the church. The revelation, and the origin of it.

THE ORIGIN OF THE CHURCH
Matthew 16:16-19

16. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19. And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be what has been bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be what has been loosed in heaven.

The origin of the church started when Peter gave the revelation that Jesus was the "Christ" the Son of the living God. Jesus said "Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, Peter but my Father which is in heaven." Then he gave him the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. He gave the keys based on the truth of the revelation. Peter also recieved instructions that whatever he bind on earth, Jesus said it shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever he loosed on earth, Jesus said it shall be loosed in heaven. Jesus called Peter "a rock" which signified truth. So here we see that the church is built on truth which is Jesus Christ the Son of the living God.

I want to ask you to put your attention on the word "prevail", in Matthew 16:18. The Lord said "and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" Against what? Against His church or the truth. Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and being that He is truth , He is Lord (Acts 2:36), and He holds all power in His hand. (Matthew 28:18)

We are speaking on Women and their roles in the local church. Jesus holds all power and authority in heaven and in earth; if we confess that we are believers, then we are in position under the power and authority of Jesus Christ. (Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 1:22) This power and authority is broken up into two parts first natural, and then spiritual. (1Corinthians 15:46) There is no power except it come from God. (Romans 13:1), The word of God tells us to obey those who have rule over us.(Hebrews 13:17), It also tells us that everything that we do , do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus (Colossians 3:17), and that it must be done in decency and in order. (1Corinthians 14:40)

I am building a foundation to show you that the church, along with, all things are built on the foundation of Christ. He is our foundation of how, and why everything is done the way that it is. I may not be able to finish this article in it's entirety , I perceive there will be a part two. I pray that as you read and study and follow me, God will give you a thorough knowledge of why, how, what, where, and when in respect to women and their roles in the local church.

Now I want to tie all this together , as to what I am saying. In Matthew 28:20 Jesus told his disciples to go and preach the Gospel to every creature and to teach them to observe everything that He had commanded them. So these disciples were under commandment by Jesus. They were not speaking their own words , but they were witnesses to what they had seen and heard. (John 3:11 1 John 1:1-10)

Women are made for man (1Corinthians 11:9) and they are commanded to be under obedience due to the fall in the garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:16). Being this said, we are still commanded to be in obedience even today. A lot of women has an attitude that because they are in Christ and there is neither male nor female, that they can do what they will. This is error. It is true, in the SPIRIT of CHRIST there is neither male not female, but in the CHURCH there is decency and ORDER. The scripture says "Forsake not to assemble yourself together (Hebrews 10:25). We come together in the local church to worship God and to fellowship with one another. When we come together it is not to be confusion and disorder. (1Corinthians 11:18). All tghe revelations and instructions that we read in the bible , was given to the apostles for us, and according to Paul the apolstle he says that this gospel that he preaches is "certified". He said he did not recieve it from a man, but it was revealed by Jesus Christ. (Galatians 1:11).

Remember I mentioned earlier that every soul must be subject to the higher power and there is no power except it be of God, and if a person resist this power that God has ordained, the word says they will recieve damnation upon othemselves; for we are not resisting man but God? (Romans 13:1). There is order in the assemblies or churches of God, and this order was was established by God through Christ, and given to His apostles to give to us. (1 Corinthians 11:1).

So what exactly is our role, as a woman, in the local church? Women's roles in local ministries according to scripture is to worship God through assisting his apostles, and those set in divine order or position of leadership in the ministry or the church by the apostles with support of finances,(Luke 8:3), of prayers, (Acts 12:12) of shelter while on evangelistic tours, (Acts 16:14-15), with fastings, (Acts 2:37).

What about women being an apostle, or bishop or evangelist, or teacher or pastor or prophet you might ask? I will address this in my next article. I perceive through the Holy Ghost that He desires for you to meditate on what He has already given until the next article.

God bless I love you and hope you would follow me in part two of Women and Our Roles in the Local Church. Please if you have any questions, comments, or concerns please address them to me at [email protected]. Shalom Prophetess Maxine Hopkins
