"He loved his country, his family, and he was kind to animals." The description of praise fits countless individuals, following their passing, onto eternal rewards. It is sad to realize, that so many in our midst, do not exhibit either patriotism, regard for those in their own family, or simple respect for animals.

"Good people are kind to their animals, but a mean person is cruel (Proverbs 12:10 CEV)." Many of my family members and friends are pet-owners, and treat their animals with tender loving care. It is easy to see why. They have established give and take relationships. They strive to give their animals what they need; in return, they take away a sense of comradely.
