Who Is Responsible For Securing Peace In Your Life Today?

by Ngozi Nwoke
6/20/2012 / Christian Living

Do you desire to enjoy everlasting peace in your life? Peace is an awesome virtue that everybody desires to have; though the world is seriously lacking it presently. This peace is very much available, but the question is who is responsible for securing it in your life today?

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it - Psalm 34:14 (KJV).

Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone Romans 12:18 (NLT)

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee - Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid John 14:27

It is your personal responsibility to secure peace in your life. You are to seek peace and pursue it. You are the one to ensure that you have peace of mind, that you live in peace with everyone as much as you can.

Many people lack peace, but they would rather blame people for not having it than do anything to acquire it. Some are seriously affected because they lack peace, their world is crumbling before them but they will not take responsibility to secure peace.

The consequences of no peace are very grievous and devastating. People's relationships are breaking down, their health is failing, their businesses and careers are stagnant, etc. Lack of peace makes life unbearable.

The peace of God secures everlasting peace. But it is your personal responsibility to pursue it. Jesus has paid the price for you to enjoy peace in your life today. God has released His peace for you but it is your duty to do what it takes to receive it.

It is not enough to desire peace or admire it in some people. What you desire is what you should go for. It is possible for you to have peace too. No matter how forceful the storm of life is, you can choose to soar above it. The choice is yours.

No man, thing or situation is worth losing your peace for. Don't allow anything to trouble your heart. Remember when you are down, you are the one who suffers it. The peace of God sustains you in times of trials and tribulations. You can't afford to let go of it.

Peace is your force of stability. To have it is to have hope, be at rest and to have absolute trust in God. The enemy cannot overcome you with the storms of life if you have the peace of the Lord. It is your personal responsibility to secure this virtue in your life today.
