Teaching a child to wait for a special treat, day of celebration, or the latest popular toy is never easy. As God's children, we have many more lessons to learn. Patience is a virtue, and the stuff we're made of surfaces-when we don't have our desires met, as quickly as we'd like. In my daily walk with the Lord, He pulls in the reigns, and trains me to walk in a slower patience pace.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2a KJV)." Patience is fruit of the Holy Spirit; Love is patient and kind. I'm learning to "pace" myself.
