Dear God Tracker

God-Tracking Is Looking At Your Clouds through His Light

I stood at my bedroom window mesmerised by the sun shining on my face. What a glorious day, and yet I had just been praying about a serious need in my life. I'd woken up under a cloud that morning worrying about money matters again. As one does in our society, I was consumed about looming bills and busting budgets. But then as I looked out my window through the haze of self-pity I noticed that the sun I was gazing at was not shining directly on my face. I was, in fact, looking at the reflection of the sun from the east in my half opened north facing window. And then I noticed something even more amazing. Outside my window the northern sky was darkened with clouds! My Lord spoke gently to my heart, "My light will shine in spite of the clouds."

So often we get so absorbed by our growing needs, be they financial, emotional or physical, that we completely forget that our God's generosity totally outshines all our needs. When I looked out of my window toward the cloudy sky it wasn't the clouds I saw but the reflected light of the sun, and it comforted me. Dear God Tracker, may we learn the secret of always looking at our needs through the reflection of God's word: "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus," (Philippians 4:19).

God-tracking is looking at your clouds through his light.

Blessings

Dudley

Verse of the Week

2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." --- C. S. Lewis

I Believe That You Will Give Me Whatever I Wish

John 15:7
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

Pray
"O Father God, sometimes it feels like my problems are insurmountable. Everywhere I look I seem to see a need. It's like looking out the window and seeing nothing but clouds. But I know that, in spite of my many needs, you are still the author of my life. In spite of the fact that there are clouds outside my window, I cannot avoid the light of your word shining brightly in my eyes. You have promised to restore my fortunes; you have promised to meet my needs and you have promised to heal my body. Today I stand in the light of your word, as it remains in me and ask that you will meet all my needs according to your promises. By your word here today I believe that you will give me whatever I wish. I pray in Jesus' name and to your glory. Amen."
