How's your sense of direction? In all honesty, I'm "directionally challenged." If I'm following directions, I seek simple directions to go straight, or make left or right turns. When reading directions to go north, south, east or west, I'm quickly confused and frustrated. I "do" know my left from my right and can tie my shoes, but have progressed little in designated directions. Are we there yet?
I'm eternally grateful to God; He's acutely aware of the distance from east- to-west and has purposely marked that distance. "For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear him (Psalms 103:11-13 RSV)." I have not reached my final destination, but I know he points the way and awaits my arrival.
