I kinda' think the Anderson's might be kinfolk. I spent so much time in their house; surely, Betty, Bud and Kathy must be cousins. "Father Knows Best" was not merely the title and catch phrase; writers masterfully wove demonstrations of Jim Anderson's wisdom into each episode. Father always knows best.
David, as father of Solomon shared godly wisdom. "And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts (1 Chronicles 28:9a NIV)." David, the father knew what was best.
"David also said to Solomon his son, 'Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work of the temple of the LORD is finished (1 Chronicles 28:20 NIV)." Solomon received David's counsel. He turned to the Father for wisdom to lead! (1 Kings 3:1-15)
