FAITH WITHOUT WORKS

Soul how much time do you give to God?
You must answer me; don't sleep and nod.

You boast "I'm a Christian! Faith's all I need!"
"God doesn't mind if my heart's filled with greed!"

"We are saved by grace lest any should boast!"
"No need for works just lean back and coast!"

But the Apostle James tells us in chapter two
That faith is not enough; there's something to do.

James says that faith with no works is dead
You had better wake up and get out of bed!

Just because you believe; you think you're so swell
Then Monday thru Sunday you live like hell!

James says even the devils believe as they trod
But like you demons never do anything for God!

You boast "I believe!" and stand with a grin
You love to ride Satan's Roller Coaster of Sin.

When faith has no works its easy to see
That you never spend any time on your knees.

Maybe some deceiver caused you to believe this lie
You had better obey that one beyond the sky!

Get off Satan's Roller Coaster, find something to do
Or you'll never see God's City beyond the blue.

For Rahab and Abraham faith just was not enough!
You'd better get busy before God calls your bluff.

You may have faith on that path you trod
But faith profiteth nothing unless you're busy for God!
