FISHING FOR TROPHIES

There is an angler unseen who is fishing for you
He wants another trophy that is shiny and new.

He is on the water twenty four hours a day
He is trying different lures with colorful array.

All the foolish fish are in his live-well
They were quickly netted by this angler of Hell.

He prefers a special trophy not common at all
He loves to mount Christian fish on his wall.

It is difficult to catch a Christian fish pure
They can easily spot old Satan's deadly lure.

So, this angler tries every lure in his box
He is cunning and crafty like an old fox.

He finally finds a lure that turns your head
Leaning back he smiles, he knows you are dead.

Retrieving that lure he sharpens all hooks with haste
Then quickly puts on the lure a good taste.

He makes a long cast staying out of sight
His grip on his rig becomes strong and tight.

He watches you toy and play with the bait
Will you turn and run before it's too late?

When it comes to lures Satan wrote the book
You had better run before Satan sets the hook!
