Each of us is responsible,
for the death of Jesus on the cross
no, not one is righteous . . .
for we are all nothing but dross.

Each of us is guilty,
for the wounds that Christ bore
no, not one is righteous . . .
for it was our sins that He wore.

Each of us is to blame,
for the scourging and the pain
no, not one is righteous . . .
for our rebellion was His bane.

Each of us is at fault,
for the blood that He shed
no, not one is righteous . . .
for our offenses is why He bled.

Each of us will be accountable,
come judgment day
no, not one is righteous . . .
everyone has gone astray!
