I want to be a well for you
Jesus,
a place where others can come
and send the bucket down
for water.
I want to be that place that is a constant:
never
empty.
I want to be a well for you
Jesus.
Some wells have old, cracked mud at their bottom.
I don't want to be
that place:
one people run to when I represent hope
but have no delivery of
the promise.
I want to be a well for you
Jesus.
Each moment of time with you,
each episode of surrender
fills me up
with more
of you.
I want to be a well for you
Jesus.
As the years go by
this well fills up
with more
to offer.
I want to be a well for you
Jesus:
the kind of well that needs
no
bucket.
I want to be so full of your
abundance
that when others need
a drink,
they only need to lean over
with their cup
and dip it in
to the fullness
of my life
because of you.
