Jed Clampett knew how to throw a hoedown. He got all duded-up in his Sunday go-to-meetin' clothes, rolled up the entrance-way rug and linked arms with Granny. Together, they'd whirl, twirl, bow and curtsey. When listening to Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, picking and strumming a banjo and mandolin bluegrass melody, the Clampett clan felt like dancin'.
"You have changed my sadness into a joyful dance; you have taken away my sorrow and surrounded me with joy. So I will not be silent; I will sing praise to you. LORD, you are my God; I will give you thanks forever (Psalms 30:11-12 TEV)." If my feet are keeping time to the music of the Messiah, they are in step with the angels!
