is a lingering syllable
a pause from the press of living
and clash of personalities
paused dreams
within the circle of life
a rewind from active pursuit
befriending dreams
and ending in melancholy.
Down and down it goes
closer to its essence
a last flame --
hope denied until we realize
our very soul is really a prayer
to be allowed forgiveness
transgressions
forgotten -- erased
and each revolving moment
draws us closer to God.
