The movie star enters Brown Derby restaurant, head held high-shoulders back. The casting agent beckons her to join him at a dimly lit corner table. Self-assured, she slinks over; offering him an artificial smile, she waits for him to pull out her chair and seat her at the table. A producer is searching for a leading lady, and she is sure she is perfect for the role.
Personally, I cannot claim self-assurance in stressful situations; yet, faith-assurance brings victory. (Hebrews 11:1-6) Faith in self is faulty. I build my life upon the solid foundation of faith in God. "And without faith it is impossible to please him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6 RSV)."
