The Greatest Gift

I've heard it said n the Great book
The greatest gift is love.
To receive this gift we must come
to Jesus and take a look.
Look to his life and how he showed love.

He lived among us and with us.
But alone in solitude with Father.
But he found the strength to love us.
We too need to come and rest in the love of Jesus and Father.

The gift of love he gives himself.
Because of love he lives, he heals.
He comforts, encourages and he died.
He gave us himself.

We too as we receive this gift.
Must see it's to give away
The gift to hold within our hearts.
Must reach to other's hearts.

To give to him our love.
To give to others ourselves.
Our time, our presence, our faith.
To others his love impart.

By Holy Spirits power Jesus arose.
He lives with Father above.
His gift can within our hearts dwell.
Holy Spirit of Jesus' love.

Rise from your selfishness.
Rise from your dead old ways.
Reach out to him with your heart.
His gift to you impart.

Don't hide your heart.
Although it's not easy not to get hurt.
Just hide away.
The risk is great, but greater still.
The gift of love to others you can fill.
