"The Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air." 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17
Jesus will be coming with those in heaven, and draw up remaining Godly people on earth. They will meet Jesus in the air. That will be a huge event, and noticeable. It will be the greatest day on earth for true believers, since the birth, life, death and rising of Jesus.
"You brothers are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day." 1 Thessalonians 5:4
Now and then God gives insights about how the end times will happen. We should all live close to God all the time, and be watchful.
"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the earth to the other." Matthew 24:30,31
Jesus will come on the clouds in the sky, and his followers will be drawn up to him from all round the earth. This event is near. Whether it happens in my lifetime or not, I don't know, nor do I pretend to know. But it is a certainty.
If we get a prophecy about this from one or more believers, we need to test it for truth. The Holy Spirit within us should let us know if it is true or not. Plus it will have to fit with what the Bible says. We have the gift of discernment, so we should know if something is true or not.
Let us then be watchful, serving God with zeal, and looking forward to the future.
