The Lord is the Light of Your Life, Volume 21
by JOSEPH-PAUL (JP) TIMPANO
7/13/2013 / Devotionals
God alone really is the reason why you exist. Quit resisting this truth. Run to Him. Accept His ways and His love for you.
Invest time with the Lord, and see your spirit grow in fortitude.
Talk to God about every fear that you experience. He is ready to help you through your struggle, and will equip you with wisdom, honor and strength to fulfill the calling that He has for you.
Have a forgiving heart. Remember, people can change. Give them room and forgive them.
God will take you through the valley you are going through.
Plant your seed. Water it daily. Wait by faith, and see it grow. Don't dig up the seed to see if it is growing. Wait on God.
God is with you. Believe it.
Listen with your heart, not just with your ears.
Have compassion for one another. Feel their pain. Comfort those who are in turmoil.
For with what measure you give, you will receive.
Put yourself in the shoes of someone else. Show that person you care.
God, teach me to pray. Comfort my heart. Quench the fiery darts of the devil.
When I am confused, Lord, show me the Truth. You promised in your Word to provide this to your children.
Lord, bless the work of my hands. Provide for me my daily provision that I can care for myself in victory.
Lord, show me how to be more patient with others. Open up my spiritual eyes.
Holy Spirit, show Yourself to me. Grant me patience in the midst of the storm.
Thank you Lord, for making it work.
Lord, let people see Jesus in my daily walk. Help me to feed the poor.
Jesus, thank you for the relationship that you provide to your children.
I need your wisdom, God, every day, to be certain to walk in the direction you want me to walk.
You, oh Lord are the lifter of my head. You comfort me in my pain, and provide victory in spiritual warfare.
If you fall, pick yourself up and walk on. Don't listen to the doubts or ridicule of others.
When you have Christ the Lord with you, no earthly power or person can defeat you.
God knows where you are. It is not a surprise to Him. The battle belongs to the Lord.
As I sit here and go through in my mind what I need to do today, I fear that I will not be able to do everything that needs to be done. At the same time, however, I am reassured by my Heavenly Father that all will be okay because He is with me.
If I did not have God beside me I would not know what to do. I believe Him in faith for my protection, direction and guidance.
I know ultimately it is the Lord who gives me life and who sustains me.
Thank you God for giving me the abilities to do what I need to do.
Thank you Father for loving me more than anybody else can love me.
With You in my life, all is possible, for You are the reason why I exist.
This is not some made-up fairy tale. God is real.
Be a person of character, honest and trustworthy.
Be somebody who you would like to find in another individual.
My heart is breaking at times as I see my parents aging more and more. My God, however comforts me in my sorrow and keeps me strong.
You may feel that because of an impediment you are damaged goods or have no value. Remember that this is a lie of the devil.
Be on guard. Sometimes the devil will try to work through people trying to shake you up and get you off message. Dismiss their power in your life.
God will melt away any impediment you think you have. Keep your eyes on Him.
When you focus on self-weakness you are committing the sin of pride. God does not command you to do this. Lift up your burden to the Lord.
Heal the child within you. Commit your cares to the Lord.
Separate yourself from a toxic person who is moving you off the course that God has set for your life.
Be honest and truthful to those around you. If you say you are going to do something, then do it.
If God is moving you away from some people and circumstances in your life, let Him. We are always a work in progress.
Sometimes people or circumstances in our lives at one time filled us, only to see later that they no longer do. Don't be angry about this.
People change. You change. Ask God for His direction in your life and follow it.
Let God fill your emptiness and take to you to new places, new circumstances and new people who will help you to grow.
I am hungry emotionally. God, please fill the emptiness in my soul.
Time for a change. Move on.
You are worthy to be loved and to be respected.
When we get hurt we become angry. Don't stifle the anger. Ask God to use it as a catalyst to move you to the place where He wants you to be.
Shake off the dust. Move on. Find another table to eat and be fed.
Learn, prosper, grow. Let the wounds of your life become fertile soil to take you on different course.
God is seeking a personal relationship with you, not just going through the motions in an organized religion.
I pray, when I am near death, to be comforted by the mighty hand of the Lord.
We come in all different colors, shapes and sizes, but God made us all with a heart that seeks His face...
Regardless what I feel, I know by faith that I am in His care.
Dear Lord, please quiet my spirit. Show me your true face.
Make me be still before You.
The devil enjoys coming against your mind. Resist Him. God is truth. God has not gone away!
I stand against the evil spirit of the devil. Nothing has changed. I am still a child of God.
Dear Lord, please strengthen me as I go through the warfare.
I believe that Jesus is bigger than any fear that I have.
Jesus says come as you are...
Take time out to praise God for the blessings He has bestowed upon our nation.
Learn to enjoy the journey that you are on, even if it is tough. Sometimes the greatest lessons are learned in the fire.
Keep me alive, dear Lord, to praise your many blessings!
Go through the doors that the Lord has set before you.
God will take care of you. Plain and simple.
When you go through a circumstance as a Christian you know that all things work together to those who love the Lord.
All things are for a reason. God has a purpose in all troubles.
Lord, teach me to pray the same way when I have plenty as when I lack. Let me always understand my dependence on You.
We are always dependent on God. We may not understand that, but it is true.
Time does not change God's law. His ways are forever the same.
I reach out to my God who will provide for my needs.
God lights the fire within me to walk the path that He makes me to walk.
God confronts my fears, and strengthens my resolve.
I acknowledge my dependence on You, dear Lord. I am nothing without You. I am but dust.
Your wants and desires will shrink in the presence of almighty God.
