Betrothed to Jesus

"And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD" (hos. 2:19, 20, KJV). I was lying in bed pondering whether to get rid of the movie Sabrina. In it a man who is engaged acts anything but when sees his beautiful neighbor. Although he does not cheat on fiance, his desires and attention are clearly directed toward this other woman. As a Christian, I am betrothed to Jesus, yet often we, like the man in the movie, I turn my desire and attention to things like tv, sports, movies and even friendships and act as if I am not betrothed to Jesus. By God's grace, my heart's desire is never again to do, say or think anything to dishonor our relationship. How about you?
