Dear God-tracker

GOD-TRACKING IS LIVING STRESS FREE

C. S. Lewis once wrote, "The work of a Beethoven, and the work of a charwoman, become spiritual on precisely the same condition, that of being offered to God, of being done humbly 'as to the Lord.' This does not, of course, mean that it is for anyone a mere toss-up whether he should sweep rooms or compose symphonies. A mole must dig to the glory of God and a cock must crow."

Many folk become disillusioned at work because they think their work is unimportant or because they become so consumed with their duties that end up burning out. Both cases lead to one of the greatest culprits of our modern age stress! Stress is the source of much illness and even death in our society. Stress can cause many ailments including heart disease, skin conditions, irritable bowel syndrome, migraine and chronic pain, not to mention psychological conditions like depression, panic attacks, eating disorders and substance abuse.

We humans are complex beings. This means that there are many, many reasons why we become stressed out at work or at home. However, I believe one of the root causes of stress is fear. More often than not we fear the consequences of not meeting a deadline or perhaps even the deflation of not having a deadline to meet in the first place. Basically, stress boils down to the fear of man fear of what other people will say, think or do if I do not match up to their standards.

If that's how you feel today then listen to what God's word says: "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance." You see, as God-trackers we are all called to serve God in all things. That does not only apply to fulltime Christian ministry but to everything we set our hands to do. Indeed, whether your job is that of a charlady or that of a symphony composer it is all service to God! So, commit your work to your Lord and seek to please him first. Do this and you will be successful in reaching your goals, free of the stresses involved in striving to please man.

God-tracking is living stress free

Happy tracking

Verse of the Week

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Quote of the Week
A Sample of Dudley's Fave Quotes

"The will of God for your life is simply that you submit yourself to Him each day and say, "Father, Your will for today is mine. Your pleasure for today is mine. Your work for today is mine. I trust you to be God. You lead me today and I will follow." --- Kay Arthur

Don't Give Up, Look Up!
Look up and Fix Your Eyes on Jesus!

..give me supernatural ability to get it all done

Pray:
"My Lord I am so, so tired. I have been working at this project for so long that I'm now totally stressed out. I'm feeling the effects of stress and ask for your healing, O Lord. I realise now that I'm not doing this for any man but for you, and that you have given me this opportunity. Therefore, I hand it all over to you lock, stock and barrel! Help me to be successful as unto you and not unto man. I do this thing in Jesus' name and I know that in you my labour is not in vain. Lord help me; give me supernatural ability to get it all done in time and help me to seek to serve you in all I do. I repent of my fear of man and put ypu first. In Jesus' name. Amen."
