It is unfortunate in a day when technology and intellect are at an all time high in our nation that we cannot clearly see the warning signs. Just like Israel and other ancient countries that were prosperous and flourishing at one time lost track of who they were. We as a nation are no different; we are following the same path. Israel forgot who brought them to the promise land and we are doing the same. Do we think we are any better than Israel? Do we believe we can get by on grace alone? Remember obedience is better than sacrifice. We can look back at Israel as well as other countries and see the hand of God positioning them in their place in history. In addition, we can see near the end of their existence, the glory of God departing. We can also see the glory of man at his best. Today in America, we have a monarchy set up, many people are following him, and they will follow him all the way to the end. It does not matter who the man is, it could have been someone else. The point is we have placed someone over us instead of almighty God. Some years back we told God that he was not welcome anymore and he being the gracious God he is, departed. He left us to run things on our own. Well as history records, this type of belief structure is to our ruin. We have removed the very foundation that made us a country and there are consequences for this action. The slogan "God bless America" does not fly anymore. Of course, he does bless you everyday you take a breath because of his mercy, but not a nation who told him to leave. God does not bless sin and regrettably, we have become a sinful nation. Remember God told us he wants to be first in all aspects of our lives. Unfortunately, like so many people today, they place him behind their own agenda and motives. If God is not first in everything, he is certainly not second; besides, he will not share his glory with another. Our pending demise was confirmed when our leader proclaimed to the world, we are not a Christian nation anymore; we are a nation of many religions. God heard us again and responded with the continued removal of His covering. This is why we see a lot happening in our nation, from the failing economy to the division of our people. It will only get worse, if we do not come clean before God. Repentance can only come through Jesus Christ alone.
