Ponder the Path
by PamFord Davis
11/22/2013 / Devotionals
The Erie Canal is not merely a bit of interesting NY history; it is a memorable link to my past. My grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins viewed the canal from home front windows. As a child, I frequently kicked up dirt on walks with cousins down the towpath. I knew nothing of its rich significance, only that it was a dirt road alongside the canal. I walked down the path to my Uncle Kenneth's "Ponderosa." Today, I ponder a path.
"Let your eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right
before you.
Ponder the path of your feet,
And let all your ways be
established.
Do not turn to the right or the left;
Remove your foot from evil (Proverbs 4:25-27 NKJ)."
