WHY ARE WE SITTING HERE UNTILL WE DIE

2 Kings 7:3 "Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, "Why are we sitting here until we die?"

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
The decision we make every day will eventually culminate into the destiny we will fulfill. Whether we like it or not every decision we make is leading us somewhere. Right decision is the first step to right destination. You are just one decision away from a life you have always dreamed of. A change of location can radically change your perspective in life. A change in spiritual commitment can open you up to a completely different level of intimacy and dominion in the spirit. What do you need to stop doing or start doing? What tough decision do you need to make? What are you waiting for?

The lepers in our text were in a critical stage and they need to make a decision. God has placed the destiny of their city at the mercy of their decision. Whatever decision they take today, will determine the fate of the city and change their own status. They just needed to get up and do something. While they were waiting for God to do something God was waiting for them to do something. Many times believers want God to do everything for them, but we need to understand that destiny is fulfilled by the combination of inputs: God's input and ours'. When destiny fails you can be sure it is because man fails to play his role. When they finally took the step to go in the direction of the camp of the enemy, to their surprise the camp was empty, because God has used their decision to create confusion in the camp of the enemy. The step you are afraid to take may be the step to your major breakthrough in life. Get up and make that change!
