Success In Life-How Well Do You See Beyond Your Today?

What do you see beyond your now? The world is full of goodies and bad stuffs, what do you see coming to you? You are a product of what you see and you are also limited by how far you see. How well you see today determines your story tomorrow. This post stresses the importance of maximizing your vision.

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what see you? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord to me, You have well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it - Jeremiah 1:11-12 (KJV)

And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: "Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are-northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever - Genesis 13:14-15 (NKJV)

How well do you see? When Jeremiah saw well, God said He was going to hasten His word to perform what Jeremiah saw. Also God told Abraham to look up and see, for whatever he saw God was going to give it to him and his descendants forever. Certainly, he didn't see what his descendants inherited with his physical eyes which are grossly limited. He saw the vast inheritance with his eyes of faith.

What you see is what God hastens to give you. What does that tell you? God is only limited by what you see. God is the Almighty God, what he says He will do. There is nothing impossible with Him (Luke 1:37), only the level to which our eyes of faith can carry us limits Him.

God is a big God and expects His children to think big! Yes, you have to start small but your vision should go beyond that starting point. Your vision determines how big you become in life. See through the eyes of the word of God and you will get there.

God grants you the desires of your heart (psalm 34:7) and you are what you think (Proverbs 23:7). If you desire small so will you get and if you think big so will you become. We don't glorify God when we are behind in the things of life as children of God. He has given us all things that pertain to life (2 Peter 1:3) and richly gives us all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17). All he wants is that we should not put our trust in anything else but Him.

Now, you may say, you have believed God for a big thing for a long time now and you are yet to see it come to pass. I encourage you not to give up. As long as you have a right standing with God, it must surely come to pass. God can never fail! Joseph had a dream that he was going to be a big person, to the point that his family would bow to him. He held onto his dream in spite of all odds until he saw himself in the palace. You too will get to your palace if you will hold on.

How well do you see? This applies to everything in life. Do you see prosperity with long life and good health to be able to enjoy it? What you see is what you will have. Do you see hitch-free marriage or one with quarrels that eventually ends up in divorce? Do you see yourself finding it difficult to make ends meet or as a provider to many, homeless or as a landlord, living long to a good old age or dying young? The choice is yours? What you see is what you will get.

Sometime ago, I saw my family having electricity 24/7 in our house without having to use generator to supply it. It sounded far-fetched considering what was obtainable in my country. But I held on, believing God to make it possible and today it is so. Is anything too hard for our God? The answer is NO, not at all.

Therefore, desire big, trust God and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5); let the big picture of your desire ever be before you, follow God and His instructions and you will have it big. That is a promise!
