The Only right way

by Olabisi obideyi

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6)

Let us call a spade a spade. If our message to the world in line with Jesus' own proclamations, is that He is indeed the only way to eternal life in heaven, then what we are in effect saying is that all other ways are in fact wrong. And as followers of Christ, this very fact in itself can only make us world enemy number one and never a friend of the world. The world is full of all kinds of ways, beliefs or disbelieves that are proclaimed as entirely right and or leading to heaven. And if all roads of beliefs actually leads to heaven, then clearly something must be really wrong somewhere!

Every road given the obvious differences in doctrines can't simply lead to the heavenly kingdom of God. And if we all agree, that all roads can by no means lead to heaven, then protecting or physically fighting for what we believe in, which for all intent and purposes could be entirely wrong ought not to be our priority. Our priority should be finding the right way. And if Jesus is that way, then we do ourselves no justice whatsoever by rejecting the only way that can lead us to the desired destination of our soul, which is God's eternal life kingdom.

A person can only find the right way if and when he or she understands that his or her considered right way is actually a totally wrong way. And this understanding will only come when we seek God in mindset of relationship and not in mindset of religion or of Him solving our perceived worldly problems. Only by searching in mindset of relationship would we knock on the right door of God. When we knock on the right door, God will surely reveal Himself unto us. And when He finally does, we will not only be humbled by His graceful mercies towards us but likely to be extremely amazed when He opens our spiritual eyes to see the extent of lies in the world, proclaimed as the truth and believed in by man as truth. And it is only when our spiritual eyes becomes wide open to see the level of deception in the world, that we will begin to fully understand why the world is antichrist, passionately hates Christ's message and terribly despises those who in Christ are of Christ Jesus.

"If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also" (John 15:19-20).
