We bicker over proposed deletion of "In God We Trust" from American currency. We should voice our opinions; yet, are they in line with our individual decision-making?
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)."
I make a choice when facing the unknown; I will trust him with my future or blindly grope in darkness.
"Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust (Psalm 16:1 KJV)."
How high is my trust level? Am I frequently searching for a quick fix when my money runs out before my month? Will I continue to base my trust in circumstances or trust in his sovereign power?
"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 KJV)"
I propose we rethink the state of our hearts as well as the state of the nation and renew our pledge, "In God We Trust." If we trust him, we see tangible results.
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance (Psalm 33:12 KJV)."
