Bridge the Gap

Take a leap of faith; close the generation gap.

I recall a term from bygone days. A blouse was unbuttoned or too tight; the girl wearing it had 'gaposis.' I just checked my trusted dictionary; nope, no gaposis listed there. Yet, to my surprise, it did pop up in Google. Aha, gaposis is on the World Wide Web.

Sadly, a generation gap is a world-wide-separation.

We can ignore it, make excuses or deny its scope. Nope, it is real all right. The younger generation thinks of the elderly as out of touch. While senior citizens believe today's young people lack in worth ethic and need to adhere to a dress code.

I see my need to bridge the spiritual gap between generations.

"Yahweh is great and is highly praised;
His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation will declare Your works
to the next and will proclaim Your mighty acts.
I will speak of Your glorious splendor
and Your wonderful works. (Psalm 145:3-5 HCS)"

Every generation needs the LORD God.

"Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom;
Your rule is for all generations.
The LORD is faithful in all His words
and gracious in all His actions (Psalm 145:13 HCS)."
