Be there a spirit war today
That's fought with vicious hate?
Do frightened spirits seek a way
To flee this dreadful fate?
Do they deserve what they receive,
Forsaking God above,
Deceived themselves as they deceive,
Since they were made for love?
Where hide from those who lurk in Sheol:
A beast, a rock, a tree?
Non-person things that lack a soul
Like God has given me.
