When first I recognized "I'm here,"
And that I'd never die:
From nothingness, did I appear.
Just like a god be I!
Subordination's not for me,
I'm me and "me" to stay.
Rejection came so suddenly
I rue that fateful day
When I, an exile-- I, a lost
Disinherited son,
When I became, at staggering cost,
An earthly, beastly one.
