Mind or matter, body, soul,
I wonder which am I.
Perplexing problem, not to know
Resolved before I die.
Evolutionary man,
The product of my age,
Animal I am,
And yet, somewhat a sage.
It's more than that. I know that I'm
A spirit: vibrant, free,
A combination soul and slime.
Dear God, I long for Thee!
