'Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?'

We catch the perpetrator red-handed; or is the thief cookie-crumb handed?

Don't be too quick to picture a little child with a chubby hand protruding from a cookie jar; remember, big people are tempted too.

King David stole another man's wife and arranged for the death of her husband. (2 Samuel 11:1-27)

Feeling remorse, he repented of his sin

"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Thy presence, and do not take Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Thy ways, and sinners will be converted to Thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltness, O God, Thou God of my salvation; then my tongue will joyfully sing of Thy righteousness. O LORD, open my lips, that my mouth may declare Thy praise (Psalms 51:10-15 NAS)."
