Dreams and Visions

"Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions." Joel 2:28

God speaks in dreams and visions and may have been speaking to you that way too. Now and then the Holy Spirit will guide you to look over your visions to glean more insight and to refill your mind with the dreams. You will be imagining and re-viewing the goals and dreams God gave you.

Satan tries to rob you of all hope and direction. You may feel like you are slipping and sliding all over the place in your faith life. You may feel like your mind has been emptied of its direction and faith. Looking again at your store of dreams and visions will enrich your faith. It will give you grip and traction. It will restore hope and faith.

You may have seen God in a vision, or have seen angels of God, or have had meaningful messages from them. By keeping notes and pictures of these you can enlarge your insights and keep growing in insights as you wait and seek God about them.

God may have given you vision, goals, direction, prophecies or promises in written form or pictures or both. Some from the Bible. All these could also be dreams and vision for the future so it is worth revisiting these too now and then. This helps you live the faith life meant for you.

Satan may try drawing you away from what God showed you personally, by tempting you. His aim is to weaken your faith, maybe making you rely too much on the insights of others. Or he may be messaging you with scripture verses that are weak and dubious, like when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness with the wrong scripture verse. There is a time to be built up by other Christians and there is a time to rely on the first-hand things God gave you. The bulk of your faith should be the direct and personal things you have from God.

Be a dreamer of the dreams God has given you and look again at the meaningful visions. They will help you survive in your faith, keeping you looking to God and to His direction in life. The Holy Spirit will guide you always.
