He Hates Sin

Confession of sin 'is' good for the soul, for restoration and healing. Confession is good for my family, church, wayward nation but first-me.

"So I turned my attention to the Lord God to seek him by prayer and petitions, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: 'Ah, Lordthe great and awe-inspiring God who keeps His gracious covenant with those who love Him and keep His commandmentswe have sinned, done wrong, acted wickedly, rebelled, and turned away from Your commandments and ordinances. We have not listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, leaders, fathers, and all the people of the land (Daniel 9:3-6 HCS)."

Daniel did not evade the problem, saying, that he and his people had sinned. Confession is agreeing with God about our sins; He hates sin and so must I. Through confession, I receive cleansing

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 HCS)."
