Skittish Around Snakes

I am not merely skittish around snakes; I am terror-struck!

I have heard people speak in defense of certain species, saying that they eat rodents. I admit that is beneficial; I'm grateful but I do not want any snakes in the circumference of my personal space. They may not be poisonous but I may die of fright!

Fright gives way to faith

"No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:13-17 NKJ)."
