Witness for the Prosecution

I do not have to be a couch potato waiting expectantly for Matlock reruns. All I need do is flip the pages of my Bible. There, I find a witness for the prosecution; our sins testify against us.

"For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood (Isaiah 59:12-13 KJV)."

Take heart; we have One who defends us

"My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world (I John 2:1-2 KJV)."
