Stained Bedspread

There is a spot on the bedspread from my mascara where I knelt. The stain didn't wash out, but I didn't care because it reminded me of when God settled my heart when I thought it would break.

There are so many things I still need to let God work on in my Christian life but I do know there have been many a night with tear stained bedspread awaiting news of a loved one or dear friend going through deep struggles. The waiting becomes almost unbearable where tears become a language only God interprets. We don't have to speak or can't, and He still understands our moaning.

I believe it's David that writes Psalm 119:145-148 Beautifully put! But verse 147 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.

The situation the anguish kept him from seeing that dawn had already arrived. Mine eyes prevent the night watches--finds no sleep while he continues to meditate on His Word. WOW! Psalm 5:3 also great!

Thank you author of Psalm 119 for leaving us those insights that we may be able to relate to them. Thank you that you heeded to the Holy Spirit's leading to write God's words as He directed. Amen and Amen In the end, "I hoped in thy word."
