Prized Possession

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." 1 Corinthians 6:20 "You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]." According to God the Creator of all things, the Kings of kings and Lord of lords, you are worth dying for!

2 Chronicles 20:17 "You need not fight in this battle; take your positions, stand and witness the salvation of the LORD who is with you." Exodus 14:14 "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." Isaiah 49:25 "For I will contend with him who contends with you." Deuteronomy 33:27 "The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, 'Destroy!'" Psalm 34:17 "When the righteous cry [for help], the LORD hears And rescues them from all their distress and troubles."

God will fight for you for you are His prized and highly valued possession! God protects, guards, directs and provides your victories. Though you are but a spec of sand in His enormous universe, you are big in God's eyes. He knows everything about you, your faults, failures and flaws. He chose you before time began for a time and place such as this and He wants to be part of your DAILY life!

We put ourselves in harm's way every time we leave the 'hedge of protection' that God provides for us through our bad decisions, poor judgment and our disobedience. God provides our armor and weapons. God strengthens us to stand and withstand the bulling attempts of the evil one.

Too often we can be deceived by thinking that our health, relational and financial problems are all just part of life instead of the enemy's attacks. What happens in the supernatural often spills over and is manifested in the natural. God can do what we can't do and He will fight our battles but you have to call out to Him. Make God your first choice to turn to instead of your last. Let God take control and "be still and know that I am God".

I remember a cartoon I saw on TV as a child where there was this puppy bulldog who followed his daddy bulldog around. He watched him growl, bristle his back and bark at the neighborhood cats that would hiss at him. The cats would all run off in terror.

One day the pup was out by himself and a adult cat came up to him and started to hiss and claw at him. The pup did what he saw his daddy do, he growled, bristled his back and started barking but the cat didn't run off. The pup didn't let it deter him and kept right on doing what he saw his daddy do. All of a sudden daddy bulldog came up quietly behind his pup and stared down the cat. Once the cat saw daddy bulldog he ran off in terror.

I think that is how God is with His children. We are to be imitators of God. He expects us to handle the DEFEATED ONE the same way. God gives us all that we need to defend and protect ourselves. The amour that we clothe ourselves in has no back covering because we don't need to run. Besides God has our back! The bible only says for us to take and make our stand. Retreat is not found in God's Word for His children nor for the victories that He provides.

Ephesians 6:13-17 "13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

God wants you to be armed with the Word of God for the Devil is defenseless against it! Don't worry about your weak areas or your weakness; God is made strong in them in YOU! God will help you to stand, to war, to defend and to expel the evil one from your life. God will fight your battles for you because you are worth fighting for. You are God's prized possession!
