O Lord

Lord, how wonderful are the works of your hands. How mighty are the victories that you have won and provided for. How spectacular are the wonders that you perform everyday. The worlds that your hands have made and yet you still make time for us! Many times I have often wondered why do you care about this little planet? Your universe is stretched out before you in endless glorious array. Galaxies, solar systems, stars, planets and celestial objects as numerous as the sands on the shores. And yet this galaxy is just a speck in your universe. Then consider still the small planet of earth just a speck in our galaxy. We humans are like tiny ants on this planet, but still you care for and love us.

You O Lord know the beginning from the end. You knew what all would come to pass and all of the trouble that we would cause. How you would have to send your One and only Son Jesus to die upon a cross for all of our sins for ALL time. To correct our mistakes, make a way for our salvation and renew a close relationship with you.

Robots would've been easier and a lot less trouble. But then how would the God of Love be able to show and demonstrate His powerful love to His creation of robots? You gave us free will and let us dig our sinful holes of selfishness, arrogance, pride while you watched brokenhearted. Your chosen people and nation that turned their backs on you time and time again. Disregarding your love, your provisions, your protection and deliverance.

But your love never fails and your faithfulness endures forever, AMEN! Your mercy is new EVERY MORNING! How many times Lord did you turn from your anger and wrath to pour out mercy upon your people? Then you didn't stop there but went on to continue to show love and grace to them with blessing upon blessing. As a parent is troubled at having to discipline their child you too Lord took no pleasure in using the rod.

You Father God are the One who enjoys blessing His children. It blesses you to bless us! You withhold no good thing from us but are eager and willing to bless our socks off! You aren't looking for perfect Christians just as parents can't expect perfect children. You accept us just as we are with all of out faults, failures and flaws. You make just one request of us, that we believe in you and in your Word. Our obedience, trust and faith in you is all found in your Word and in the relationship that continues to grow in you Father.

The times are dark and full of wickedness but you O Lord are our shining light. Your light shines brightest in the darkest of the night. You O Lord are our hope, you are our future, you are our faith and trust, you are our very breath. For life isn't worth living without you. Apart from you we can do nothing for we are nothing without you!

Forgive us Lord for our apathetic ways and attitudes. Forgive us Lord our compromises that have come at the expense of your Word and ways. Forgive us Lord for our sins of omission and for ignoring you Holy Spirit as you try to guide and direct us. Forgive us Lord for condoning in silence the wicked and vile laws that are passed that contradict your Word and Laws. Forgive us Lord for our complaining and murmuring for it is not our right to do so. We should ALWAYS give you thanks for ALL things, praise you for all that you do and pray without ceasing! For we are so desperate for you O Lord!
