Dear God-tracker

GOD-TRACKING IS NOT GIVING UP IN THE FACE OF STRUGGLE BUT LOOKING UP INTO THE FACE OF JESUS

Hebrews 13:5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said,
"I will never leave you nor forsake you."

"I'm just not coping," said Bev on the phone to her best friend, Maria. "It seems as though everything is going wrong. Jeff works late almost every night, the kids have colds again and I can't cope with the housework anymore. We just don't have enough money coming in." On she went, describing her woes and stresses. "I think God has abandoned me. He doesn't answer my prayers. I'm at the end of my tether," she said. Maria sighed. "Ah Bev, don't give up. You've got to just trust God, like Job did in the Bible and your problems are nothing like he had. When things went pear-shaped in Job's life he never once complained that God had abandoned him."

It's true. We read in the book of Job about how God allowed calamity to come upon Job to test his faithfulness and integrity. Satan was allowed to strip Job of all he held dear his wealth, his family and even his health. But, despite Job's friend's defeatist advice, Job refused to blame God. He did complain, indeed! But he never lost his faith in God's purposes. Toward the end of the story we read of how Job says, "I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted." In the final few verses of the story we read of how God not only restored Job to beyond his former glory but that Job live another 140 years before he died. Wow!

Can you relate to how Bev felt, like your world is falling apart? If so, then I encourage you to takes Job's example and not blame God. Don't give up! Look up! Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author of your faith. He endured his trial by fixing his gaze beyond the cross where he saw himself seated at God's right hand in glory. Don't give up! Look up! Look up to the hills. Where does you help come from? It comes from the maker of heaven and earth! Don't give up! Look up! Lift up your head that the King of glory may come into your circumstances. He is the Lord of glory, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle. God has a plan for you and he does everything on purpose, in your life. Just be sure you continue to acknowledge him in all your ways. He will get you though.

God-tracking is not giving up in the face of struggle but looking up into the face of Jesus.

Every blessing

Dudley

Don't Give Up, Look Up!

I will not give up. Rather I choose to look up into your face in the hope that you will bring me through this and take me to greater heights after it is done.

Pray
"Heavenly Lord, it seems as though everything is going wrong in my life at the moment. I'm sorry if I have blamed you for my difficulties. I know all things are under your control and that you often allow things to go wrong, to try my integrity. So, even in these tough times, I will not give up. Rather I choose to look up into your face in the hope that you will bring me through this trial and take me on to greater heights after it is done. Thank you for your plans and purposes in my life. I will continue to acknowledge you in all my ways, even when things seemingly go wrong. Amen."
