Eavesdropping

When writing, some topics come up frequently. Does that mean I have a one-track mind?

Well, the 'mind' is a good starting point. I very often have thoughts that quickly turn verbal. In case you don't make the connection, that means I talk to myself. Yup, sure do.

Do you?

If undisturbed, I share words of frustration. My lack of patience is embarrassing.

What I lack in patience, I possess in enthusiasm. I talk to myself; I do not whisper!

Recently, I discovered truth in a a beautiful scripture passage

The Psalmist was not talking to himself; he was speaking to his soul.

"My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.

In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God.

Trust in Him at all times, you people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah (Psalm 62:5-8 NKJV)."

The message to his soul is stupendous.

Soul, this is what you need to do "My soul, wait silently for God alone (Verse 5a)."

I'm eavesdropping. That is great advice.
