An Unusual Traveling Evangelist

LEN"S LINES --- A Little religion On A Positive Note by Len Granger TipTopwebsite.com/LensLines

Recently, at our country church we were honored by having a traveling Evangelist and his wife with their four unusual companions. They travel all over this nation from coast to coast with a large RV, which includes a bedroom for the passengers The friends names are Randy, Rawley, Rodney and their sister Rosie and they each have their own housing boxes. When you see their smiling faces and realize they never change in size like humans, it makes us want to smile back at them.

We find the word Evangelist is primarily found in the New Testament as someone that "Announces the Good News. " Jesus Christ we read in Mark 1 14-15 and Luke 20-1 is the first preacher of the Saving Gospel message. Today, Evangelists preach the never changing Gospel message but have developed their own method of presentation..

This "Kids Conference" for adults ( young at heart) and kids, was well attended as the Evangelist Ventriloguist with Rosie assisting presented the Gospel message.. An Old Testament Book of Haggai story was presented telling about the newly returned group of Jews that had left the Babylonian exile.

These Jews were focused on the wrong things... Haggai 1:9......"Because of mine house that is waste and ye run every man unto his own house" God is very displeased as we read in Verse 10. " Therefore the heaven over you is starved from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit." The people listen to the prophet Haggai and return to building the House of the LORD, however after sixteen years it is not finished, The Lord sends fiery messages to stir up the nation which renews faith in God and gives strength to the builders. The temple is completed and the Lord blesses them. Chapter 2 Verse 19, " Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth from this day will I bless you."

In our lives today, we too must constantly adjust our priorities and give attention to the things of God's House. When we worship the LORD we will be blessed again and again. What happened so many years ago is history, but history repeats itself over and over. Let us as Christians seek our living Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and walk in His footsteps. He will lead and protect us during our earthly adventure and call us home to be with Him for eternity, according to His timetable.

Trust this Sunday we will be in the church of our choice, singing and worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

God Bless America
