God's Promise To Israel

by Greg Robbins

Deuteronomy 30:1-8 "And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations, where the Lord your God has driven you. And shall return unto the Lord your God, and you shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul; that then the Lord your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion upon you, and will return and gather you from all the nations, whither the Lord your God has scattered you. If any of yours be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from there will the Lord your God gather you, and from there will he fetch you: And the Lord your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and he will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers. And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live. And the Lord your God will put all these curses upon your enemies, and on them that hate you, which persecuted you. And you shall return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments, which I command you this day".

Israel forsook the Lord. They were in covenant with Jehovah God and then they broke that covenant. Then the promised Messiah, who is Jesus Christ, came and they rejected him, falsely condemned him, and handed him over to the Roman governor to be crucified. They hated him without a cause. So then a long period of over 2,000 years began in which the Jews were continually hated and persecuted. But God has promised that they will be restored to his good favor again, and they will enjoy his salvation. His promises began back in May 14,1948 when Israel became a nation. The Jewish people have been returning to Israel ever since. Even though they were greatly outnumbered by their opponents, they have fought many wars and have won each one. These are miracle wars. If Israel had lost even one of them, then they would have been annihilated.

They fought the War of Independance in 1947-1949, The Sinai War in 1956, The Six-Day War in 1967, the War of Attrition in 1967-1970, the Yom Kippur war in 1973, and many smaller wars and conflicts up until the present day.

The part about God circumcising their heart and the heart of their seed, to love the Lord their God with all their heart, and all their soul, that they may live, has not yet come to pass. It will happen during the tribulation period.

Revelation 7:3-17 "Saying, hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the the children of Israel. Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. After this I beheld, and , lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, saying, Amen: blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these that are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they that came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sits on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

We see the promise of God being completed here. First he shall seal 144,000 male virgins out of the twelve tribes of Israel. These men shall become evangelists during the tribulation period. The fruit of their labor shall be a great revival producing a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues. Out of these shall be many more Jewish converts, thus fulfilling God's promise to Israel. The 2,000 years of blindness, suffering, persecution, and death will come to an end. They will go home in a cloud of glory, having died as martyrs during the tribulation period.

Gentiles beware! The time of the Gentiles has almost ended. Jewish time will begin again very soon. The modern church bears all of the marks of the Church of Laodicea. They are spiritually blind, they think that everything is going well with them. But in fact they are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. They are rich and increased with goods, and believe themselves to be in need of nothing. They are lukewarm. They are neither cold nor hot, and because they are lukewarm they shall be vomited from the mouth of Jesus unless they repent. They are trusting in the rapture of the church, which Jesus never spoke of. None of the twelve apostles spoke of it either. The only one who did is Paul, and his grace gospel totally contradicts what Jesus and the twelve Apostles taught and commanded. A choice must be made between following Jesus or following Paul. Like oil and water their teaching does not mix or agree. I myself have chosen to follow Jesus and to obey his teaching and commands. Jesus is the word of God and he is God. He said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away". He said that the one who loves him is the one who obeys his commands. I believe in Jesus. I believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Jesus.
