ALLOWING THE GIFT TO FLOW THROUGH THE GIVER

by Rochelle Arnold

By the Field Prophet

I recently read a commentary on the "loveless Christian." It struck me to be quite the oxymoron, the 'loveless Christian', wouldn't you say? It brought to light the importance of our only real commission: to know Jesus deeper and to love one another. The 'loveless Christian' is a real thing. Ultimately, it is the result of a heart condition.

Proverbs 27:18-20

Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit; So he who waits on his master will be honored.

As in water face reflects face, So a man’s heart reveals the man.

Hell and Destruction are never full; So the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Let Us Consider

Many churches are full of the following: seers, prophesiers, interpreters, healers, preachers, dreamers, hearers, discerners, wall watchers, armor bearers, street barkers, proclaimers, labelers, etc.

Pastors, in many ways are probably overwhelmed with the job of trying to discern, manage and facilitate everyone's gifted title, which each one would like to exercise.

Understanding that the gift moves through the giver is vital to proper utilization; as well, it serves as a guard against pride. Unfortunately, love has taken a back seat to the show and with it a quenching of the Spirit and His power.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

Many have fallen and succumbed to fleshly delusion and lying spirits. They are adamant in who they are because of what they do... yet void of love. They are full of scrutiny, self-deluded discernment and judgement. They are creating and procreating an inbred subculture that is unable to grow anything to maturity. Primarily themselves. Over time they become ravenous, like wolves. They are unable to sustain on 'unsuspecting sheep'; they begin to turn on themselves attacking in packs and tearing the flesh of woundedness. Much like the wolf, they proudly display their bloody prize to others as a form of victorious conquest. They look upon the 'new sheep/person' with disdain and an elitist mentality wondering how can this person serve me? Will they bring accolades, manna, influence, or will they conform?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

The fleshly grip on many churches has become ironclad. I'm reminded of the movie "Frozen" when the seagulls bounce around declaring "mine, mine, mine.” How dare anyone come into the church with a revelation, song or anointing. Things are just fine the way they are... These have forgone the primary principal of Christianity: to love, accept and receive the lost. Their identities have perversely grown like a misshapen tree unable to give good fruit. This is because they now operate in the dynamic where the master serves the gift rather than the gift serving the master. It is important to remember that the gifts flow from love and compassion.

Unfortunately, many modern-day culture traits have permeated even in the Church, where it is about 'what we can do', and 'who we are' in the eyes of man, or how 'good' we are...etc. We then wonder why are we still hollow? Why don't our churches grow? Where is the joy?

Jesus was a FRIEND to sinners first and foremost. He walked with, ate with, laughed with them. His love allowed for the growth and development of everyone. Each to his or her own unique creation, but the growth and development occurred within the relationship. This is and was initiated via love and friendship. Without the agape love of Jesus, everything we do, every gift, every 'word', every prayer is stinking flesh or filthy rags.

Luke 7:33-35

For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’  The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’  But wisdom is justified by all her children.

It is time the church get out of its head and into the heart of Jesus. The purging within the Church has already started, as well the wolves have already begun to turn on each other. This cannibalism that is happening with carnivore churches are why the Lord has allowed many to be protected by not bringing them into certain folds or they would be consumed.

Ezekiel 22:26-28

Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.  Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy people, and to get dishonest gain. Her prophets plastered them with untempered mortar, seeing false visions, and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord had not spoken

New Move

This new move of the Lord is vibrant, healthy and exponentially growing. It is manifesting outside the walls of these carnivorous churches. As the love of Jesus (acquired through our friendship/relationship) radiates to the world, emulated in our day-to-day, person by person interaction; a new church is birthed. A church who will worship him in Spirit and Truth.

This new move is coming from within the culture and society via music, movies and media. It no longer looks like a suit and tie, but it is pierced, branded and marked. It wears no uniform, but it shines. It is seen in every act of virtue. It exudes power and smells sweeter than vanilla.

It hits new notes, draws new scale and theory. It paints with new colors and accomplishes wherever it is sent. It is free of condemnation and judgement, free of agenda, flesh and pretense. It flows unrestricted wither it desires bringing life to all that immerse. It is time for many to 'get real', because the Lord is removing and replacing leadership. If your identity is in what you "do", rather than whom is your "who", you will miss it. While many of the 'gifts' are bringing forth truths, these truths are castrated and unfruitful if not served from the bowl of humility, love and servanthood.

Return to Your First Love

Hosea 2:7

She will chase her lovers, But not overtake them; Yes, she will seek them, but not find them. Then she will say, ‘I will go and return to my first husband, For then it was better for me than now.

It is quite simple; we must love, receive and accept one another, period. All the rest is secondary.
