The Road To Destruction

by lareina morgan
3/24/2017 / Salvation

Have you ever been in a situation that you knew wasnt the best or the right place to be in, but you stayed in it anyway? Do you wonder why sometimes you feel compelled to do something that seems good at the time, but later in hindsight you can see that is was not right or beneficial to yourself or the people in your life? Why does it seem that everything bad looks good, and everything good seems boring, uninspired, or restrictive?

This is part of the human condition, the urge to go into dangerous and dark places to satisfy a need, a pleasure, that cannot be fulfilled any other way. We all have a broken and fallen nature, and science will tell you that is natural, and that there is no real solution to the problem. The survival of the fittest, the need for humanity to improve itself and its environment, sometimes at the cost of the weaker individuals in the 'herd'.

You see, if we are descended from animals, then why should we apologize for 'animal like' behvior? If this is all that there is, then we should just make the best of the situation, begin to acquire everything that we need, and do whatever it takes to get everything that we want. The problems arise from how we go after what we want and what we do to get them; many times we incur 'collateral damage'.

Everyone's perception of life comes from what they have been taught in life and what they have experienced; from this we make choices that shape our lives and our destiny. That is why making the right choices is the best choice, even when it may cost you something. A really bad choice can haunt you for the rest of your life, and a really good choice can bring joy and peace into your life forever!

God's take on life is this: to love, to give of yourself, to praise and worship Him, to live for Him, to want the same things that He wants, to cherish each other and your life on this world. We were not made just to acquire things, and pursue our own agendas at the expense of everyone else. We were made to love and cherish our Creator and Lord, Jesus Christ, and to live in
His presence forever and ever. But our ancestors, adam and eve, made a choice that is still an issue to this very day. They chose to rebel against God, and to seek knowledge about good and evil, knowledge that they were not ready to receive, and knowledge that corrupted their innocent human nature.

If there is one thing that everyone learns in life, it is that once you know something essential, it changes your whole life and your perspective, and once you have received it, you can't go back to what you once were, your innocence is gone. That is why parents go to so many lengths to shield their children from 'knowledge' they don't need at the time, because they are not ready to handle it. Innocence is a commodity that is taken away from children very quickly in this world, and sometimes instantly almost from the time that they are taken from the womb.

Do you ever wonder why some people have sex with little children? Why do some people enjoy abusing others, animals, and themselves? Why are some people attracted to the same sex, why do some people believe that sex outside of marriage is okay and adultery is okay if the person doing it feels that their needs aren't being met? Why is it okay to do whatever you FEEL like doing?

This is a deception fostered by the devil and his followers. You see, a long time ago, the devil was an angel that had everything anyone could ever hope for, but he wanted more. He FELT that he should be in charge of the universe, he wanted to remake the universe in his own image, and he decided to rebel against God. He also convinced one third of the angels to do the same, and war broke out in heaven. Satan and his angels could not overthrow the Lord in Heaven, and he has been causing problems in the earth, in our lives every since adam and eve fell in the garden of eden; by his promptings, they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge good and evil, and that's where our problems began.

Why did eating this fruit cause so many problems? Firstly, because adam and eve did an action that was forbidden for them to do, as the Lord told them not to do this. This fostered a rebellious spirit. Their need to have more than what they already had, also fostered a false FEELING that they were missing something, even though they had everything they could possibly want or need, and the Lord would have given them even more if they had simply obeyed Him.

Secondly, the knowledge they received was not 100 percent good and pure, because with the good knowledge they also received evil knowledge; it was this evil knowledge that corrupted their souls and led to a fallen human nature. You must understand, that good cannot coexist well in the presence of evil. That is why the Lord had to chase them out of the garden of eden; the Lord will not allow evil to exist in His presence. That is why Jesus came to earth to live among us, to show us what pure good is, to fellowship with us and to show us His compassion, and to die on the cross for us, a sacrifice of love, to atone for our sins, because we are incapable of living good and pure lives. As christians, when we come into His presence and worship at His altar, He sees us as righteous because of the Blood of the Lamb, shed for us at calvary. He sees His Son's blood upon our hearts and souls, and He is pleased to have us in His presence, so that He may love us and favor us with His grace and mercy.

When adam and eve were living in the garden of eden, they only knew peace, love, happiness and joy, but once they ate the fruit they also began to know fear, hate, pride, and discord. That is why when we try to think of good things we also think about negative things, but we should not allow ourselves to be overcome by these bad thoughts, and if we are born again believers, than we have the power of Jesus Christ in our lives, and the tranforming power of the Holy Sprit in our hearts.

That is why for some people bad is good and good is bad. Their perception of what is right has been corrupted by a corrputed human nature and they choose to do things and that will destroy them. They take the wide road to destruction, and they are not aware that it is so, because whatever they FEEL like doing is working for them at that moment, and they will reject anything that anyone else has to say about it. They will defend their right to do it even if it means it may hurt someone else and themselves.

So, we have hate and fear, pride and jealousy, deception and discord, hurtful sexual abuses, homosexuality and adultery, fornication and pornography, addictions and greed, selfishness and poverty, and we have it in aboundance. The sins of humanity are increasing at an alarming rate every day, and no one seems capable of doing anything about it. It is true that we cannot do anything about it, for this type of corruption needs the power of pure good and love to cleanse it, and that can only be found in the Blood of the Lamb.

If you feel convicted by the words in this article, reach out to the one who can free you from your sins, Jesus Christ. He is waiting for you to see the truth about Him, and that He is the only one who can save you from the coming destruction. We cannot save ourselves, and you have to realize that you are the only who can choose real life for yourself, the life that brings peace, joy, happiness and love. Choose Jesus Christ Today!

Prayer of Salvation

Lord,

I repent for trying to be master of my own life. I change my mind about who I want to be in charge of my life. I turn from my useless and unproductive thoughts that I am the center of my universe and choose to believe in the living God who created everything, including me (Acts 14:15). I have lived without a purpose but now I will live to hear and obey You, God (Jn. 5:19, 20,30).

I confess with my lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I believe that God so loved the world He sent His only Son Jesus to shed His blood to wash away the barrier of sin (Jn. 3:16)

I receive You, Jesus as MY Lord and Savior (Jn. 1:11,12).

I welcome You, Holy Spirit, into my life to rescue and empower me and to restore me to intimacy with my heavenly Father (Acts 2:38).

If you just confessed this prayer, you are saved! I welcome you into the family my (brother/sister) I pray for peace, joy, and happiness in your life as you allow the Lord to love you and bless you and give you assurance of everlasting life with Him forever and ever......PRAISE GOD!

May the Lord keep you and Bless you this day....AMEN
