Easter Celebration - I Am Risen!

by Ngozi Nwoke
4/14/2017 / Holidays

What are you celebrating this season? Is it salvation, victory and freedom or is it only salvation? Will Jesus Christ acknowledge your celebration as being complete? This article aims at encouraging you to utilize the entire package our Saviour Christ delivered to us the day He rose again.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay - Matthew 28:6 (NKJV)

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord - Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV).

Many people are still in their oppression because they have refused or don't know how to take their mat and go home (Luke 5:24). They have accepted salvation from Christ but they are yet to take the goods Jesus paid for on the cross and delivered at His resurrection.

I imagine the Lord Jesus shouting, "I am risen! Why are you still there? The stone is rolled away (Mark 16:4), just follow Me and walk out of that grave! I am risen, don't you understand what it means?" It means salvation, victory and freedom. Freedom from shame, reproach, oppression, sickness and disease, fear, downtrodden state, helplessness, etc.

What are you doing with Christ's victory on the cross and resurrection? Jesus truly has the keys of hell and of death (Revelations 1:18), by His stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24), God has translated you from the kingdom of darkness into His Son's kingdom (Colossians 1:13). You are not bound anymore (Hebrews 2:14-15)! ONLY BELIEVE! (Mark 5:36)

Read and chew the scriptures, pray, decide to walk with God and you will understand and live the life of victory and freedom purchased for you by our Lord Jesus Christ with His blood. Follow Jesus and walk away from that challenge.

I imagine our Saviour Christ saying, "Why are you crying to me? You have compassed this mountain enough. I have finished the work, take it and use it!" You are not saved to remain in your state. Follow Jesus and walk away today. You are free, no more enslaved to sin, the shackles are broken, and the doors are open. Follow Jesus and walk away today.

My prayer as you celebrate Easter, is that by the blood of Jesus you will take up your mat and follow Jesus out of that challenge, in Jesus name. Salvation, victory and freedom is yours! Hallelujah!

HAPPY EASTER!!!
