Paradise

by Steve Countryman

2 Corinthians 12:3-4 3”And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.” Luke 23:43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

There are things mentioned in the Bible about the supernatural that are hard to wrap your mind around. This is one of those things. It does have to do with how you view the Word and how you apply it to your understanding. If you can grasp this then the I’m-possible will be made known to you.

Where the King is so is His kingdom. Jehovah God is King of kings, Lord of lords, Lord of hosts and Creator of ALL things. He never travels outside of His kingdom so wherever Jehovah God is so is His kingdom. Jesus said that the Father is in Him and that Jesus is in the Father. So if God never travels outside of His kingdom and if Father God is FULLY in His Son Jesus then the kingdom of heaven is FULLY in Jesus.

Now this is where you have to trust that the Word of God says what it means and means what it says. Paradise is the word that is used to describe heaven. Heaven is the kingdom of God or as it is known as the kingdom of heaven. When you become a “born-again” believer you have asked Jesus to come into your heart. Your body then becomes the temple of the Lord. Jesus dwells in His temple your body. So if Jesus is in you that also means that the kingdom of heaven is in YOU!

Now this is what you need to wrap your mind around. Father God lives and dwells in heaven and He is fully in His Son Jesus. Jesus lives and dwells in His temple your body and is fully in the Father who lives in heaven. The Holy Spirit is the supernatural bridge between the natural and the supernatural. He makes ALL spiritual blessings available to us His children. One of those spiritual blessings is that Father God has total access to you through His Son Jesus by way of the Holy Spirit in you!

Paradise is in heaven, heaven is the kingdom, the kingdom is in you, you have paradise in you! John 10:10 “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” With Jesus in you and paradise with Him then you now have life more abundantly! Jesus left heaven to come to earth but heaven never left Jesus!

There is one very powerful passage that is in the Bible and it is so powerful that Jesus mentions it twice in the book of Mathew. In Mathew 16:19 and again in 18:18… Mat. 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in (the heavenlies), and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in (the heavenlies).” For this passage to be mentioned twice in scripture means that it bears repeating. This passage represents the power and authority that Jesus has given us over the enemy. Luke 10:19 “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” All power and authority of heaven is made available to us to use but for it to work we MUST use it!

I’m not speaking of the afterlife and living in heaven when you die but living in heaven before you die, “a little heaven on earth to go to heaven in”. Father God is paradise in heaven. Paradise realized not ignored, not forgotten and not abused. God has made heaven on earth in us! To fully understand what this means requires that you must be willing to give full unrestricted and unlimited access to Jesus and the Holy Spirit in every area of your life! For the blessings of heaven to be realized in you only comes with your submission and obedience. To do otherwise is to make heaven conditional in your life.

Our reward is found in heaven and heaven is Jehovah God then our reward is God in heaven! You don’t have to fully understand the meaning of what heaven is in you to enjoy its blessings. Just as you don’t have to know how our sun works to enjoy the blessings of light, warmth and all of the benefits the sun offers.

I try to say the Lord’s prayer daily but with a few changes to it. “Your Kingdom come” referred to a time before Christ died on the cross for our sins. God’s kingdom had not yet been made available to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus in us.

“Dear Abba Father God who is in heaven, Holy is your name. Your kingdom is here in us in Jesus. Your will is fulfilled, your Word manifested and demonstrated in us, to us, with us, for us and through us here on earth everyday as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins. Holy Spirit help us to forgive those who sin against us. Father, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and ALL the power and ALL the glory forever and ever, AMEN”!
